On May 15, a team of experts led by Academician Yu Jianyong of the Chinese Academy of Engineering visited Weiqiao Pioneering Group for an exchange and inspection. Zhang Hongxia, Party Secretary and General Manager of the Group, held a discussion with the visiting delegation. During the meeting, the two sides reached a consensus on jointly establishing the Weiqiao-KUST Advanced Textile Innovation Center, promoting technological innovation in the industry, accelerating the transformation of scientific research achievements, and advancing talent cultivation.

Both parties agreed to leverage high-quality resources from research platforms such as Donghua University's Textile Science and Technology Innovation Center and Weiqiao's Textile Technology R&D Center to promote the construction of the advanced textile innovation center. The goal is to build a highly efficient and collaborative innovation system, foster high-level talent, accelerate the commercialization of research outcomes, support industrial upgrading, and inject new momentum into the high-quality development of the textile industry.
